Have you been playing the same ole’ record over and over again?
By now it’s probably a broken record! You’ve been trying to find a solution to your problems, inner conflicts or conflicts with others. This all makes you feel disempowered, disconnected, and seperate from your true self and the life you’re meant to live. You want to learn how to take charge of your life, make decsions that lead you to well being and joy that is not attached to others or circumstances outside of yourself.
You keep doing the same ‘ole things in an attempt to resolve these issues.
- Maybe you read some books to find a clue and insight.
- You reach out to friends or colleagues; perhaps they have the best of intentions; but their advice doesn’t quite click.
- Now this one is a doozy! You try to solve your issue the same way your parents did or other family members have in the past.
- So basically you’re trying to use a one size fits all approach and solution to address your highly personalized problem hoping this will work.
Unless you’ve become an expert at using bandages to cover up and contain whatever is going on deep inside. Then your mind is set on some of these thoughts.
- Maybe you’re thinking you can’t do anything about your circumstances.
- You ignore your issue and it will fix itself.
- The belief that you can rely on past solutions for present issues.
- The thought that you are too weak and not able to help yourself, and someone will come along to save the day.
Ahh! Comfort Food! What would we do without it? (Personally my favorite is a pint of Haagen Daz “Vanilla Swiss Chocolate Almonds” and a bag of crispy “Lays” Potato Chips!) I start with one or the other. No I don’t dip the chips into the pint of icecream. I eat them seperately. Believe me its’ paradise after a tough day!
On a different serious note… Are you exhibiting the following behaviors? Like isolation, acting out, overindulgence, irritability, unhappy, a lack luster life, friendless, little or no support network, loneliness, sense of unworthiness… We could go on, and on, and on… Oh! And how do you cope when that sneaky inner critic and your tumultuos roller coaster of emotions take over?!!!
You’re probably really successful at what you do. An entrepreneur, and executive of an organization or a leader in any field. Faith based, community based, or you rule over a country, city or planet. No matter how successful; you are still a woman of blood and bones. And yes; contrary to what others might perceive, you have feelings and needs of your own!
You’re at the end of your rope. Hanging on to emotional pain, grief, guilt or shame. Anger, resentment or challeges with forgiveness control your life. Everyday you fake it… People around you have no clue you’re quietly suffering , in pain and unhappy with some aspects or all areas of your life. You get through somehow each day. Go to work, deal with the family, pets, illness, exhaustion, caring for others, and not penciling into your agenda time for YOU!
So what’s a girl to do? Go ahead have that ice cream and chips! If it will temporarly do the trick. Put on some lipstick that one that makes you feel sexy. Dance, sing out loud with your hairbrush for a mic. Twirl around, and around until you begin to get dizzy. And then cry, make that sobbing sound that comes from the depths of your gut and womb! And then… When you’re ready wipe the lipstick off, the tears, get it together and when you’re ready reach out and book an “Elixir for the Leader” Session.
